galleryGallery

This modern Gallery designed by architect Bojana Đurović is an example of a functional interior surpassing the usual exhibitions and breaking through their existing stereotypical models. The construction of the Gallery was begun in January 2003 and it was opened in April 2003, on the occasion of celebrating of the Days of Belgrade.

Exhibitions are one of the forms of cooperation of the Archives with other institutions of culture, with the media, educational institutions, and of fostering of direct contacts with the visitors. Events like these, without doubt, are the best presentation of the Archives to the professional and broader public. The joint effort of all archival services and associates in the preparation of exhibitions leads to the best selection of the exhibits, to attractive presentations and large numbers of visitors.
Between 2002 and 2009, the Archives prepared 20 exhibitions. The conception of the exhibitions so far is that all of them have articulated problematic, thematic and chronological segments of the stories that recognize the illustrated history of the city through interleaving of the efforts of European powers and different cultures.
