Fond is incomplete. Changes have been done during archival research in the Archives of Pančevo and Croatia State Archives. Reviewed archivals are arranged and processed. Revision is done in a period between 1969 and 1971.
Archivals coming from the period from 1749 until 1804 are arranged in order of its fasciculation, because non-evidence was kept and non-departments were existed from 1749 until 1786. Two departments were opened from 1787 until 1799, political - economic (P) and juridical (J) which kept evidence-protocols and registers, files were disposed after process ending and fasciculation was given in accordance with determined order. Departments J and P existed still from 1800 until 1804 and kept special evidence, but files got its fasciculation separately for every department. Arranging archivals originated from this period, departments should be separated in order not to be
repeated fasciculation. Since 1804 until 1871 both departments still kept special evidence books but protocol numbers meant also tags P and J until 1861, but from 1861 until 1871 tags I and II. Archivals of this period were arranged in accordance with the department evidence books, but archivals of Police Department in accordance with kept department books. Changes made after 1871 reflected the administration until 1883 departments P and J existed no more, one-evidence book was kept and archivals arranged in accordance with it. City Captaincy and Constructing Department, organizationally separated within the City Authority, kept its evidence books, and archivals were arranged in the same order. In 1884 separated administration of the City captaincy and Constructing department was recorded in one evidence book, which numbers has tags I, II, III until 1890 referring to the duties of each department within the administration of the City Authority. Since 1891 there is only one evidence book but without tags. Documents originated from the period until 1880 are in German in Gothic letter, but in Croatian from 1881 a several documents are in Latin, Hungarian, Ottoman Turkish, Greek and Hebrew. In purpose of protection 4000 of documents were microfilmed.
