As of April 2003, when the Gallery of the Historical Archives of Belgrade was unveiled and the exhibition Belgrade Through Centuries, XIX-XX century was organized, what goes on in this institution attracts great media attention.
The traditional event, The Days of Belgrade, held every year between April 16 and 19, begins with the solemn session of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade which promotes a volume of the series To Live in Belgrade, giving the city anniversary special importance and attracting public attention. The interest that the media show to the exhibitions and publications of the Archives is due to original ideas, attractive displays and exceptionally well-designed accompanying material. When the numbers speak, they show that, in the course of this time period, 230 reports, interviews and authored broadcasts in all the media (TV and radio stations, websites, dailies and journals) about the Archives were published. More than 90% of the reports on these events gave them considerable room. Each exhibition or a book promotion event was covered, on the average, by 15 to 20 media crews, while the events like the exhibition 20th century – the age of wars, the century of the evil ones, the promotion of the book Modern Serbian State 1804–2004, the Chronology, and the press conference on the occasion of transferring the Intelligence and Security Agency (ISA) documentation to the Historical Archives of Belgrade, were, each one separately, covered by more than 30 media. The Archives itself, and its exhibitions and publications, was featured in 15 authored electronic media broadcasts.
