the office hours:
Every year, more than 17,000 archival units (documents, artifacts, boxes, books) are checked out of the depot for the needs of the archivists who are arranging and describing them, who are preparing exhibitions and publications, or for the needs of the researchers who are to use them in the reading room and for the needs of the citizens in the registry office of the Archives.
The most sought out documents are the architectural plans of the buildings erected on the territory of Belgrade. There follow certificates concerning average income earned and about the years of service, then the information about an enterprise going bankrupt or liquidated, copies of school certificates or diplomas issued by the now defunct elementary or secondary schools. Those interested in the archival documents can, on the basis of the documents obtained from the Archives, get a whole series of other certificates. In 2007, 7.153 requests for documents were granted.
