Amsterdam HolokaustThird manifestation within the project Escalating into Holocaust - from Execution Squads to the Gas Van of Sajmište: Two Defining Phases of the Holocaust in Serbia was held in Amsterdam on 21st September 2016. The leading organization in this international project is Historical Archives of Belgrade.

International conference was held in the conference room of NIOD (Dutch Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies) gathering representatives of partnering organizations, international experts for Holocaust and numerous spectators. The conference consisted of two sessions. It was opened by introductory lecture on the project, followed by Sajmište camp historical backgound lecture of Dr Milan Koljanin, presentation of Sajmište victims database presented by Vladimir Mijatović from Historical Archives of Belgrade and presentation of exhibition October 1941 presented by Nikola Radić Lucati from Center for Holocaust Research and Education.
In the second session dedicated to the education on Holocaust, lecturers were held by Miško Stanišić from Teraforming, Dr Erik Somers from NIOD and Casern Dosin, history professor from Brussels University. (read more)
