Arrangement and description of the legacies is a regular activity of the Archives. In the last couple of years, acquisition of documentation through donations or purchasing was intensified. Separate documents of old Belgrade families, photographs of destroyed facilities, picture postcards, unrealized construction plans, unpublished manuscripts, digitized personal collections and the complete set of the journal Republika have added to the existing fonds and collections.
In addition to single documents, the Archives acquired a number of legacies of individuals who had left their mark on the political and cultural life of Belgrade in the second half of the 20th century. The documents from the legacy of Ivan Đurić and Jelena Šantić filled in the emptiness in the documents concerning the political struggle, antiwar activities and the fight for human rights toward the end of the 20th century.
