Тhe Historical Archives of Belgrade organized a meeting regarding the project Physical Condition of the Church Registers Preserved in the Serbian Archives оn the 1st of June 2021. The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information. It will be implemented by the Archives of Vojvodina, which will be in charge for the church registers preserved in Vojvodina archives, and by the Historical Archives of Belgrade which will be in charge for the registers preserved in the archives located in other parts of Serbia.

Church registers of births (baptisms), marriages and deaths were kept in Serbia from the first half of the 19th century and in Vojvodina from the beginning of the 18th century. The registers were categorized as the archival material of extraordinary importance.
