izlozba Oleg Sergejevuc Grebenscikov otvaranjeWithin manifestation “Days of Belgrade 2018” exhibition Oleg Sergejevich Grebenshchikov (1905–1980) was opened in the Gallery of Historical Archives of Belgrade. This exhibition is a result of cooperation between Russian Humanitarian Mission and Historical Archives of Belgrade. During the opening ceremony, valuable archival material from Grebenshchikov’s personal heritage was donated to the Archives.
 
Oleg Sergejevich Grebenshchikov (1905–1980) was Russian emigrant, soloist of National Theater of Belgrade, choreographer, composer and botanist. His scientific work was focused on ecological researches of Caucasus and the Balkans. He was a director of Botanical Department of Natural Museum of Serbia, MA in Biology and PhD in Geography.
The visitors will be able to see, in 14 exhibition panels, documents testifying on history of the National Theatre in Belgrade, rare photographs of ballerinas Tamara Karsavina, Nina Kirsavina and famous Ana Pavlova.
 
Archival documents, valuable photographs and numerous posters of performances played in the National Theatre between the two world wars were donated to the Archives by Grebenshchikov’s daughter Darija Grebenshchikov.
The exhibition can be seen in the Gallery of the Archives in 1 Palmira Toljatija Street, from 19th until 24th April 2018, from 10AM until 5 PM.
