Historical Archives of Belgrade organized a workshop within the project Promotion of the Digital Repository of the Historical Archives of Belgrade on the 6th of August 2021 with the aim to provide opportunity for the archivists and librarians to exchange their experiences in digitization processes.

The themes of the workshop were:

• Presentation of the digitized archival material
• Legal framework for digitization
• Possible cooperation on the digitization processes
• Exchange of experience
 
The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Archives of Vojvodina, the National Library of Serbia, the Historical Archives of Požarevac, the Military Archives, Society of genealogists of Serbia Poreklo, the Archives of Yugoslavia, the Historical Archives of Belgrade and representatives of companies SafeDoc and Dass.

After the introductory speeches of the director of the Historical Archives of Belgrade Dragan Gačić and Slobodan Mandić, the Digital Repository was presented to the audience by Jelena Nikolić, Tijana Kovčić and Dragana Mitrašinović from the Belgrade Archvies and by Vladimir Tatić from the company SafeDoc. This on line platform allows registered users to search one million of digitized citizens’ cards (certificates of permanent residence) created from 1922 to 1952, 811 church registers and 52 registers of Zemun citizens from late 19th and early 20th century.
The project Promotion of the Digital Repository of the Historical Archives of Belgrade was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information in 2020. The project included one workshop for pupils, a workshop for students and a workshop for archivists.
