Seminar for Archivists and Librarians from Serbia was held in Yad Vashem, in Jerusalem, from 4th until 11th December 2017 in organization of International School for Holocaust of Yad Vashem and Terraforming. Twenty-seven representatives from Serbian cultural institutions - from Historical Archives of Belgrade, Archives of Vojvodine, Military Archives, Historical Archives of the City of Novi Sad, Historical Archives of Subotica, Museum of Genocide Victims, National Library of Serbia, University Library of Serbia ‘”Svetozar Markovic”, Belgrade City Library, University Library from Novi Sad, National library of Subotica and National Library of Zrenjanin - participated in the seminar’s activities.
 
Eight-day seminar was opened by HE Milutin Stanojevic, Serbian Ambassador to Israel. The goal of the seminar was to enable archivists and librarians to exchange experiences, to get familiar with the activities of a memorial center and institutional networking.
 
Numerous lecturers and workshops were dedicated to the problem of processing archival material and library collections related to Holocaust and their presentation to the public and on Internet via databases. The organizers presented to the seminar participants all departments of Yad Vashem – Archival Department, Department for Conservation and Preservation, Digitization Center, Visual Center, Database Department, Museum and Library. Besides Yad Vashem’s educators, professors from University of Jerusalem were lecturers.
Participants from Historical Archives of Belgrade were Director Dragan Gacic MA and Tijana Kovcic, archivist.
