Film Debata Holokaust
Terraforming Network in cooperation with the University Library "Svetozar Markovic" and the Historical Archives of Belgrade organized on Tuesday, May the 7th at the University Library “Svetozar Markovic “ the screening of documentary "Who Will Write Our History" followed by panel debate on how to use archival material, literature and graphic novels in Holocaust education.
 
The event served as contribution to the commemorative activities for 10th May, Holocaust Remembrance Day in Belgrade, dedicated to the victims of the Nazi Camp Judenlager Semlin at Sajmiste, as well as within the global event on the occasion of the 2nd May Yom HaShoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Documentary "Who Will Write Our History", written, produced and directed by Roberta Grossman and produced by Nancy Spielberg, narrates about famous archive known by the code name Oyneg Shabes led by historian Emanuel Ringelblum in the Warsaw ghetto and brave archivists fighting to preserve evidence and traces of life of a nation that once lived there.
 
After the screening Vasilije Milnović PhD in Literature Theory and History from University Library "Svetozar Marković", Tijana Kovčić, archivist from Historical Archives of Belgrade and Stefan Radojkovic, historian, associate of Museum of Genocide Victims and Secretary at the Jasenovac Committee SPC participated in a panel debate "Use of archival material, literature and graphic novel in education about the Holocaust". Moderator of debate was Miško Stanišić, director of Terraforming.
