The Exhibition Architectural Heritage of Mihajlo Mitrović was opened in the Gallety of The City Library Vladislav Pertković Dis in Čačak, on the 7th October 2022, with the aim to mark 100 years since the birth of Mihajlo Mikica Mitrović, one of the most prominent Serbian architects in the world.
His life work included famous buildings, like the resort Narcis on Zlatibor, stationary OUN in Banja Koviljača, hotel Putnik, the Genex Tower (Belgrade Western Gate), the church of Saint Vasilije in Belgrade, the cycle of Vrnjačka Banja: warm water springs Snežik, Statina, Rimski izvor, Jezero; the block of buildings Proleće in Čačak, numerous apartment buildings in Serbia…
The exhibition included archival material preserved in the Historical Archives of Belgrade, within the Legacy of Mihajlo Mitrović – the model Savska gradjevina; the award Salon of Architecture, from 1976 and 1978; The Grand Architectual Award given by the Association of the Architects of Serbia from 1984; personal drawing instruments; model of the Genex Tower.
