Minister of Education of the Republic of Serbia Branko Ružić together with his associates Miloš Blagojević, assistant minister for secondary education and adults education, Milan Pašić, assistant minister for pre-school education and elementary education and dr Zlatko Grušanović, director of the Institute for the Improvement of Education, visited the Historical Archives of Belgrade on March 24th 2023. Minister and his delegation were introduced to the activities of the Archives with the goal of establishing closer cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Historical Archives of Belgrade.
Dragan Gačić, acting director of the Historical Archives of Belgrade, and his associates presented to Minister the project of donating 17 Archives’ editions, that is 2.500 books to the educational institutions in Belgrade and Serbia. The purpose of this donation would be to inspire and educate young people how to use archival material as crucial historical source in the research.The Ministry delegation was also introduced to the activities and plans regarding the reconstruction of the Archives’ building and construction of a new building in the future.
