hologram reconstruction of the Avala tower In the Gallery of the Archives, the exhibition entitled Light and darkness – the virtual Belgrade of the 19th and the 20th century was organized. The conception of the exhibition was to show the development of Belgrade in the two centuries, but from a standpoint of its unique historical destiny characterized by ceaseless destruction and reconstruction of its urban tissue.

The exhibits were architectural edifices as they were at one time, but also those which had never been realized. The central part of the exhibition was given to a hologram reconstruction of the Avala tower, 1.5 meters tall, placed at the side of the scale model of electrification of Belgrade from 1891.

The hologram reconstruction of a facility, on the basis of the design kept in the Archives, as well as the scale model kept in the Belgrade electric power distribution system, displayed as a part of the permanent documentation concerning electrification of Belgrade, are pioneering and, we could say, revolutionary steps in the design and presentation of archival documents.

Electronic catalogue of the exhibition in Serbian and English was produced.
