Member of the City Council, professor Fadilj Eminovic and senior adviser in the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Belgrade Andrija Bojanic, visited Historical Archives of Belgrade on 23rd August 2018. This visit was a chance for the city officials to get acquainted with the Archives’ activities, preserved material and digitization projects implemented in the Archives.Dragan Gacic, Director of the Historical Archives of Belgrade presented to the distinguished guests Archives’ facilities and especially Department for implementation of IT technologies. It was mutually concluded that Archives’ current activities – digitalization of the Citizen cards Register, of Holocaust material and digitization of Parish Registers – are in accordance with the recommendations and priorities of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Future projects focusing on digitization of economic fonds and technical documentation were discussed as well, since these projects would significantly speed up the process of issuing certificates to the citizens.
